Broken Trust: The Elite of the Horde

Gehennites (a.k.a. Big Uglies)

So you’ve seen the big demons with the horns, blood red skin and the jet black eyes with flame swirling all about them? Those are gehennites. Don’t go there if you don’t want a rough fight or a rough death. They are bigger than the biggest bodybuilder, standing eight feet tall easy, and they’re stronger than the biggest bodybuilder too. They’ve got no love for anything except conflict and they get their jollies on destruction. Literally get a jolt of the good stuff if they throw a big enough rampage. These suckers don’t eat, or sleep. They don’t make deals and try to corrupt you, they don’t care about your personal despair and they don’t give a damn about your existence or your happiness. Well, they are demons, you knew that last one going into the discussion.

What they do is roam about, find people and structures and obliterate them. Then they claim their ecstatic reward after the orgy of destruction is over, and they move on. There aren’t that many of the damned things, well relatively speaking. There are probably a couple hundred of them worldwide, but they don’t team up together unless a big boss is around, and they don’t pose a large threat to people in hiding because the dumb sons of bitches are too stupid to figure out anything that isn’t painfully obvious. So that secret door in the side of the mountain? They’ll never find that. That cove with the water entrance? Ditto. They might find you in your basement cellar, but that’d be after the house was blown away.

Physically they are as strong as oxen, and always on fire. So you can figure how much of a bitch it is to take on one by yourself. Oh did I mention they are damn near bulletproof as well? I thought I had said that before, but I guess I skipped it. You’ve pretty much got to have the stones to go at them with a melee weapon, or use something with a lot more kick than a handgun.
